About the art in the "Loblolly Memory Pad at Hollow Rock" Exhibit:
I am interested in the natural world, which includes humans, thank goodness.
I make an abstract drawing based on form, but as the picture progresses, a realistic allegory emerges, in a code, individual to that particular image, where the title comes from. Interpretations may vary.
Why abstraction? Reality isn't real enough; you have to take it away, pick up the pieces and look at the fundamentals, Whistler's Mother, in a collider. Many people … inside our ponderous gravity, the physical elements blocking what we can see inside.
Something about the search for truth, contentment, and understanding. We are somehow closer, not knowing why.
Not for satisfaction as much as justification, I know why I'm here; to drive the future … will grasp it later.
